It seems Kanye’s recent antics and pro-Trump tirades has led Charlamagne to think he is too unstable to go through with their planned “mental health conversation”.
Yeezy has been making headlines for his recent trip to the White House where he talked to Donald Trump about Larry Hoover, alternate universes, Superman, and more crazy shit Kanye is akin to speaking on. Charlamagne apparently caught wind of Ye’s recent antics and has decided going through with the event is probably not in best interest.
“Normalizing being mentally healthy is a conversation that I really wanted to have with Kanye because he’s been so vocal about his own mental health struggles,” he explained. “Unfortunately I think to have that conversation with him right now would not be productive and a total distraction from the point of the convo which is to eradicate the stigma of mental health especially in the black community.”

Charlamagne Tha God is well in the works for his next book, titled “Shook Ones”, and has just announced a planned event where he will meet with Kanye West to discuss issues in mental health today.
Kanye has recently been in the public eye due to his pro-Trump rant on SNL, controversial statements regarding culture, and blatant arrogance in the face of criticism. It’s classic Kanye and it’s so sad that even his music can’t make up for his antics lately. Despite this, his obvious mental struggles are right on point with the topics set to be discussed with Charlamagne this coming October 17th at The Town Hall in New York City.
Charlamagne took to his Instagram earlier this week to announce the event:
“Join me for a @timestalks with @kanyewest about Anxiety, Therapy, PTSD and all the other Mental Health stuff we don’t discuss enough,” he captioned the photo. “Also discussing my new book #ShookOne “Anxiety Playing Tricks On Me” moderated by @joncaramanica of the @nytimes. Buy tickets before they’re gone link in my bio!!!”
